As a part of The Usual Stuff’s overall PTC and GPT Sites review, today I will be reviewing a site of pretty much of same nature like Neobux but with some leniency. In this Clixsense Review we’ll figure out if Clixsense is actually legit or yet another time wasting online scam?
So let’s get started.
Let’s Start From The Beginning.
In case you’ve just started with your online money making endeavors and still struggling with the jargon that online entrepreneurs use, then let me quickly guide you what PTC and GPT websites are?
PTC stands for Paid-To-Click and GPT stands for Get-Paid-To. Both of these terms are used interchangeably but there’s a small difference.
PTC sites, as the name suggests, pay you to click on their ads and watch it. That’s it. You get paid to somehow do nothing. I mean how much efforts, skills, expertise does clicking a link and then watch it for say, 10, 20 or 30 seconds require?
On the other hand, GPT websites, in addition to paying you for ads, also pay you for completing different activities. Activities ranging from filling out surveys, completing offers and even playing games.
So in a sense, all PTC sites are in fact, GPT.
Once we have this covered, let’s return to our main subject of this article. That’s Clixsense.

History of Clixsense
A quick domain whois info reveals that Clixsense domain was registered in December 2006. The website’s About page states that it’s been in business since 2007. So that’s more than 10 years now and from my experience, I can say that one of the main criteria to assess if the PTC site is legit or scam, is for how long is it operating.
As I mentioned in my article, Neobux Review, that majority of the PTC sites do not withstand the test of time. Probably their business model isn’t sustainable enough or they aren’t there to stay for long term in the first place. Hoping to make some quick bucks and scoot.
However, since Clixsense has been there since the last 10 years, that’s a pretty much good sign and thumbs up to its credibility.
Shift In Clixsense’s Business Model
Clixsense initially started out mainly as a PTC site. The major revenue generating activity its members could exploit was through clicking ads. Gradually, the kept on adding other activities as well and down the road, they removed some activities.
However, currently as of this writing, Clixsense does not offer any PTC ads and now, only through the following ways, you can make money from Clixsense.
How To Make Money From Clixsense
Here are some simple ways that even a toddler can easily make money from Clixsense.
Filling Out Surveys
Major income source on Clixsense are surveys. Different surveys provide different amount of compensation. So I won’t be mentioning any hard figures here. However, the surveys are always limited in numbers. So in order to make sure that you get maximum numbers of surveys, fill out your information accurately.
So this does mean that those from the tier 1 countries like US, UK, Australia, Canada etc. get maximum numbers of surveys as compared to the members living in other countries
Another income source for Clixsense members is “Offers”. You can make money by completing different offers. These offers could be anything. For e.g. You could be required to sign up somewhere, download or install an app, play a game or even provide your credit card information for “Trial Shopping”. However, my advice would be to stay away from such offers which require your credit card information.
I’m not saying that they’re fraud but I think that if there are other more money making opportunities on Clixsense from where you can earn without spending anything then why sign up for those which require you to give your hard earned money? Be as frugal as possible. That’s my tip.
I like this one. The payout is normally good. Ranging from 3 cents to 8 cents or even a dollar for completing simple tasks.
For e.g. you’d be provided with business information of different real life businesses such as their names, addresses, website URL, Zip code etc. Additionally, you will see a link to say, an online business directory, yellow pages etc. and your task would be to confirm if the information on the online directory matches with that provided to you. Now that’s not rocket science at all and I’m sure a pretty simple task for you to complete. You do need to be careful about the accuracy though. If your accuracy is below a specified threshold, you will not earn anything.
This is just one task that I’ve mentioned. You will find tons of other tasks as well.
Though, the tasks are generally simple but still, you need to be a bit careful to make sure you’re accurate enough to earn the money. Additionally, you need to create an account on CrowdFlower as the said tasks are actually CrowdFlower’s tasks and Clixsense just acts as a mere portal.
Just as an example, below is an image of one such task which requires to categorize a product based on the information provided. On the right, you can also see a timer. All these tasks are time bound and once you undertake them, you need to complete them within time.
The easiest way to earn from Clixsense is by referring it to other people. You get 20% commission of what your referrals make (of course, this 20% is not deducted from your referrals earnings.)
So when your referral fills out a survey, completes an offer or a CrowdFlower task, you will earn 20% of what your referral makes. Isn’t that great?
Secondly, if that’s not enough, you make an additional $2 if your Direct Referral earns up to $5 from surveys, tasks and offers. However, if your referral makes $5 from his own referrals, unfortunately, that does not make you money.
If the referral commissions sound cool, you should’ve joined few years ago when Clixsense would give you money even from the earnings of the referrals of your referrals (indirect referrals) all the way down to the 8th level.
Unfortunately, this is not the case now but still it’s pretty cool. Isn’t it?
Daily Checklist Bonus
There are certain activities that Clixsense require you to perform to make sure that you remain an active member of Clixsense and not just rely on your referral commissions. These activities are not “Out-Of-The-Way” activities. In fact, the routine actions that you’d perform on Clixsense would add up in the Daily Checklist bonus. For e.g. you need to visit the Clixsense forum once a day, complete at least 2 CrowdFlower tasks etc.
Any combination of these tasks are part of you daily checklist and the bonus or incentive of completing these tasks is an additional income of 16% of whatever you make that day. Assuming you earn $1 in a single day while completing your daily checklist. In that case you will earn additional $0.16 ($1 x 16%). So your total income will become $1.16.
When and How are the Payouts Made on Clixsense?
The minimum payout is $10 and all the payments are processed on 10th of each month.
You need to send a payment request by the 5th of every month to ensure timely payout.
Clixsense pays you using multiple payment processing options. Such as Payoneer, Payza, Skrill, Tango card and even check payments to the members living in United States and Canada.
How Much Money Can You Make From Clixsense In A Month?
That’s a million dollar question. Or a thousand dollars. Or few hundred, or whatever. The point is to figure out how much money you can make from Clixsense in a day.
Of course, your main objective is to create a passive income stream for yourself and having knowledge of how much effort goes in something as compared to what you get in return means a lot.
So before answering how much you can earn from Clixsense, let’s analyze how much time do you need to spend on Clixsense everyday?
In my opinion, NOT MORE than 20 minutes.
That’s right. Just complete couple of surveys, offers and CrowFlower tasks and you’re set for a day. Granted, that would generate you no more than couple of dollars but your main income would come from referral commissions.
Just set a target of $5 a day ($2 from your own efforts and $3 from your referrals) from Clixsense. Both from your own efforts and your referral commissions. That’s $150 a month. I believe, that’s a good passive income. Even for countries like US and UK. Especially keeping in mind that you’re working no more than 10-20 minutes a day without any specialized skills.

In fact, the part of the world where I come from, I can dine in every night in a month, in a decent restaurant. Better yet, I’d still have some money to deposit in my saving account.
Concluding My Clixsense Review
I guess, it’s time to conclude my Clixsense review. Of course, the $5 target above sounds easy but it will take some time. You need to be good at online promotions. Bottom line is that if you need to see a meaningful output, you gotta work hard for it and show some determination. I hope you’re not short of both.
